Regulation No. 597 date 1.7.2015 laying down rules of procedure and other requirements regarding agreements between special interest organizations and groups, individual and group operators and state authorities concerning the attainment of higher levels of protection than those stipulated by the legislation for environmental components.

This Regulation lays down rules of procedure and other requirements regarding the agreements entered into between special interest organizations and groups, or individual and group operators and state authorities concerning the attainment of a higher level of protection than that stipulated by the legislation for a specific environmental component. The request submitted by the above groups should present a detailed report on the protection of one or more environment components, the potential ramification of such protection on other subjects and activities, the reasons of such request, and the final purpose of its implementation. The Ministry should review the application and decide on its validity within 60 days of submission. The minister responsible for environment approves the template agreement and establishes a national registry for such agreements.
