Regulation No. 742 date 9.9.2015 on the functioning and managing of the pollutant release and transfer register (PRTR), approval of the list of activities and polluters that are subject to this register, and the form for the declaration of data on pollutant release and transfer from the operator.

This Regulation establishes the pollutant release and transfer register in the form of a public electronic database to facilitate public participation in environmental decision-making aiming at preventing and reducing environmental pollution. The Regulation consists of the following Chapters: Scope and purpose (1); Content, establishment, and structure of PRTR (2); Operator’s obligation to report (3); Discharge from distributing sources (4); Quality assurances and assessment, freedom of information, public participation and appeal rights (5). The list of installations subject to report is attached to the Regulation as Appendix 1 and Polluters List as Appendix 2. The Regulation is partially approximated with Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 January 2006 concerning the establishment of a European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register.
