Abstract
The term alcoholic beverage means ethyl alcohol and liquors complying with the established standards while illegal turnover of alcoholic beverages means illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation and trade thereof (art. 1). The Parties shall cooperate in the sphere of prevention, exposure and suppression of the illegal turnover of alcoholic beverages (art. 2). The cooperation shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) exchange of information; (b) prevention and suppression of the offences such as illegal use of the place of origin and trademarks of alcoholic beverages; (c) expertise of confiscated alcoholic beverages (art. 3).

Entry into force notes
The Agreement enters into force thirty days after the receipt of the third notification of the fulfilment by each of the Parties of the internal procedures required for its coming into force.
Notes
The present Agreement shall be open-ended and it shall expire within sixty days of the receipt of the written notice of the intention of one of the Parties to terminate it for the Party that has forwarded the aforesaid notice. The Agreement entered into force for Kazakhstan on 2 March 2001.
