Abstract
The Parties shall promote the stable functioning and strengthening of the safety of nuclear energy facilities used for peaceful purposes, implementation of joint measures to prevent nuclear accidents, organization of mutual assistance in maintaining the reliability of the operation of facilities in emergency situations. The Parties interact on issues of convergence of national norms, rules and regulations, contributing to nuclear and radiation safety of facilities, taking into account standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency and international obligations of the Parties to this Agreement. The Parties shall coordinate the interaction for joint solution of issues, related to actions in emergency situations, compliance with nuclear and radiation safety in the development of uranium deposits, processing nuclear fuel, radioactive waste management and rehabilitation of radioactively contaminated territories of the Parties.
