Agreement on the establishment of a Coordination Council for Plant Quarantine of CIS member-states.

This Agreement establishes that Coordination Council for Plant Quarantine of Plants of CIS member-states shall be constituted for organizational support of cooperation between the bodies and organizations of the participating states on issues of mutual protection of territories from introduction and spreading of quarantine pests in the process of implementation of contacts and development of economic and trade relations within the framework of the CIS, creating favorable conditions for policy in the sphere of application of quarantine phytosanitary requirements and measures. Coordination Council for Plant Quarantine of Plants of CIS member-states shall perform: (a) coordination of joint activity related to plant quarantine; (b) promotion of exchange of legislative, normative, methodical and other information; and (c) information on phytosanitary state of the territory of CIS member-states.
