Abstract
The present Basic legislation on environmental protection determines the policy of environmental protection which aim is to ensure environmental protection and regulation of environmental management as well as to create the necessary legal basis for the development of environmental legislation that regulates the relations in the sphere of conservation and use of subsoil, forest and water, vegetable kingdom, wildlife and atmospheric air. The document consists of V Secs. that contain 31 arts. Section I (arts. 1- 11) lays down general provisions. Section II (Arts. 12-17) regards qualitative rate setting of environment and establishes ecological requirements for economic activity. Section III (Arts. 18- 27) regards protection of some objects of environment. Section IV (Arts. 28-30) regards state ecological control and establishes liability for the infringement of environmental legislation. Section V (art. 31) regards international obligations in the sphere of environmental protection.
