CIS Agreement on common agrarian market.

The purpose of the present Agreement shall be to set up CIS common agrarian market with a view of free exchange and sharing of agricultural commodities, food processing technologies and services for agro-industrial sector (art. 1). The Contracting Parties have agreed to set up the Intergovernmental council for agro-industrial sector that shall be the authorized institution for the implementation of the present Agreement (art. 2). The functioning of the common agrarian market shall envisage the provision of the population with foodstuffs and stabilization of the agricultural commodities and foodstuffs market (art. 3). The Contracting Parties shall establish common sanitary, phytosanitary and veterinary certification and standardization systems within Common agrarian market (art. 7).
