Abstract
Active impact on meteorological and other geophysical processes means purposeful physical and/or chemical impact with a view of limiting possible damages to environment, population and economy (art. 1). The scope of cooperation shall be organization and carrying out active environmental impact with a view of risk reduction of natural disasters such as forest fires, acid rain and high local pollution (art. 3). The Parties shall cooperate in the following forms: (a) exchange of information; (b) joint scientific and technical programmes; (c) licensing of activity related to active impact and the state supervision over its carrying out (art. 2).

The Agreement entered into force on 15 January 2002.
Notes
The present Agreement shall be valid for five years and it will be automatically extended for one or more five-year periods, unless otherwise decided by the Parties.
