Decision No. 113 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission “On approval of the Procedure for approbation of new breeds, types, lines and crosses of farm animals in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.”

This Decision determines the procedure for approbation of new breeds, types, lines and crosses of farm animals in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. Approbation shall be intended determination of the conformity of an integral group of animals of the same species with the requirements that make it possible to establish their belonging to a certain new breed, type, line, cross of animals. New breeds, types, lines and crosses of farm animals shall be subject to mandatory approbation. Approbation of breeding achievements shall be carried out subject to the following conditions: (a) minimum number of pedigree livestock subject to approbation of breeding achievement meets the requirements according to Annex 1; (b) minimum number of factory lines in the submitted for approbation breeding achievement, as well as minimum number of farms (herds) submitted for approbation of breeding achievements, and also minimum number of farms (herds), in which are kept pedigree livestock subject to approbation of breeding achievements (at the time of approbation), meet the requirements according to Annex 2; (c) the origin of the producers of breeding achievement subject to approbation and absence therefrom of genetic abnormalities is confirmed by molecular genetic expertise; and (d) information about pedigree animals and their ancestors (at least four generations) submitted for approbation are entered in the register of pedigree animals of a Member State.
