Decision No. 2292-N On Approving the Procedure for Organizing State Trials on the Economic Use of Plant Varieties, The List of Plant Varieties Permitted for Use, and their Registration and De-Registration.

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for organizing state tests for varieties of economic utility, registration thereof or de-registering in the list of varieties with a permit for use in the Republic of Armenia. It shall be applicable to plant varieties registered outside Armenia (for registration in Armenia) and plants registered inside of Armenia (for deregistration). Organization of tests shall be performed by the Ministry of Agriculture. The tests shall be carried out in the test sites selected by the authorized body in agreement with the applicant. The method of testing shall be approved by the authorized body. The description of the variety shall be attached to the application, which includes the structural (morphological), botanical, biological, agro-technical features of the variety. The applicant may submit additional information. The tests shall be carried out for 2 years in a row, except for the tests of hybrid seeds, which are carried out within one year after the decision on the state testing of the economic utility of the variety. The tests are carried out by an organization subordinated to the authorized body. Annex 1 contains application form for testing of economic utility of plant varieties.
