Abstract
The Contracting Parties, for the purpose of environmental protection and the prevention of oil pollution during interstate oil and gas pipeline management, pledge to set up joint environmental institutions and to carry out common policy for the prevention of hazardous environmental impact as a result of projecting, construction and operation of interstate oil and gas pipeline management systems (art. 9).
