Government Resolution No. 23-N validating the Procedure for summary, analysis and archiving of information on the state calculation and accounting of emissions of air pollutants (hazardous substances).

This Procedure regulates the relations regarding the state registration of emissions of atmospheric air pollutants (hazardous substances) and the summarization, analysis and archiving of information on registration. The main task of the state registration of emissions of atmospheric air pollutants (hazardous substances) is to determine the composition and quantities of substances emitted into the atmosphere, as well as the objects with sources of emissions of atmospheric air pollutants (hazardous substances). State registration of emissions of atmospheric air pollutants (hazardous substances) should ensure the creation and maintenance of a database necessary for atmospheric air quality management, which is necessary: (a) to exercise state control over the protection of atmospheric air; (b) development of projects on atmospheric air protection within the framework of socio-economic development programs; (c) development of standards for maximum permissible emissions of atmospheric air pollutants (hazardous substances); (d) regulation of emissions of atmospheric air pollutants (hazardous substances); (e) development of relevant design documents for the distribution and development of settlements; (f) design and location of facilities that affect atmospheric air quality; (g) calculation of environmental tax for emissions of hazardous substances polluting the atmospheric air; (h) fulfillment of international obligations; (i) forecasting changes in atmospheric air quality; and (j) in cases provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, for other needs.
