Governmental Decision No. 259-N validating the Regulation on the procedure for keeping the register of protected areas.

This Regulation establishes the procedure for keeping the register of protected areas performing the following tasks: (a) development planning; (b) collection and classification of data obtained in the process of scientific research and monitoring; (c) control of protection regime; and (c) identification of the optimal load of land use. Register of protected areas contains the following sections: (a) general description of protected areas; (b) protection of protected areas ensuring reproduction and restoration of living resources; (c) management of protected areas; and (d) authorized body for management of protected areas.
