Law No. ZR-179 “On geodesy and cartography”.

This Law regulates relations dealing with geodetic and cartographic activity. Geodetic and cartographic activity shall be classified as national and local. National activity shall include zoning, mapping and licensing of geodetic and cartographic activity. The Act consists of 6 Sections divided into 21 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) competence of the government, state bodies and local self-government in the sphere of geodesy and cartography; (3) regulation and realization of geodetic and cartographic activity; (4) dispute settlement and liability; (5) international cooperation; and (6) conclusive provision. Geodetic and cartographic activity shall be subject to licensing by the authorized state institution.
