Multilateral agreement among CIS Member States on cooperation in the area of plant quarantine.

The Parties have agreed to carry out quarantine inspections of seeds, planting materials and plant products during their import, export and transit in accordance with the list of pests, diseases and weeds (annexed) and to apply common rules and regulations governing the import, export and transit of commodities subject to quarantine inspection. The Parties commit themselves to preventing the introduction and spread of quarantine pests. Cooperation shall entail: (a) exchange of rules, regulations and instructions; (b) exchange of biological agents to combat plant pests, diseases and weeds; (c) mutual assistance in combating quarantine pests; and (d) exchange of experts.
