Abstract
The purpose of this Agreement is to implement energy saving policies through a series of coordinated activities regarding the use of advanced technologies in the area of energy savings and energy efficiency, use of local fuels and stable reduction of negative environmental impacts regarding the energy sector. The Parties shall harmonize their national legislation, certification rules and procedures, and metrological requirements in the energy sector. Cooperation shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) working meetings, conferences and exhibitions; (b) exchange of information, technical documentation and advanced technologies; and (c) supply of equipment, instruments and materials relating to the energy sector.

Entry into force notes
This multilateral agreement enters into force three months following deposit of the instrument of accession unless otherwise decided by any Party prior to such date.
Notes
This Agreement shall have a duration of five years and shall be automatically extended for one or more five-year periods unless otherwise agreed among the Parties.
