Abstract
This Procedure regulates the issues related to the modalities for collecting and registering information on zoological collections in the national territory. The collection and registration of information on zoological collections aims to identify the collections of collected, regulated, exhibited and kept live animals or taxidermied animals, products and preparations, their quantitative and qualitative changes, as well as to ensure the availability of information on genetic resources. Zoological collections can be living and non-living. Live collections are collections of wild animals kept in captivity. Inanimate collections are: taxidermied wild animals, skeletons of vertebrates or their individual parts, products and preparations. Data collection on zoological collections is of great importance for their effective management, public education and awareness raising, enabling the general public to obtain publicly available information on zoological collections. The registration of data on zoological collections is a constantly implemented process, which ensures the replenishment, classification, preservation of data, and the prompt entry of quantitative and qualitative changes.
