Abstract
Forecast of the development of agro-industrial complexes of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, reflecting economic development of agricultural production and the market for basic agri-food products, is formed for the medium-term (5 years) and long-term (10 years) periods with the adjustment of indicators every 2 years. The assessment of the economic development of agriculture of the Member States is carried out according to the list of key indicators and products of the agro-industrial complex in accordance with Annex 1. The results of forecasting are used in the formation of balances of demand and supply in accordance with the Methodology for calculating forecast balances of demand and proposals of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union on agricultural products and food, flax fiber, leather raw materials, cotton fiber and wool. The forecast for basic agricultural products is formed in the context of following indicators: (a) sowing (planting) areas (thousand hectares); (b) livestock and poultry population at the beginning of the year (for livestock - thousand heads, for poultry - mln. heads); (c) production (thousand tons, eggs - million pieces, leather raw materials - thousand pieces, sheep and goats - in slaughter weight, cotton fiber, flax fiber and wool - tons); (d) foreign trade (import and export) (thousand tons, eggs - million pieces, tanning raw materials - thousand pieces, mutton, cotton fiber, flax fiber and wool - tons); mutual trade (import and export) (thousand tons, eggs - million pieces, leather raw materials - thousand pieces, mutton, cotton fiber, flax fiber and wool - tons); (e) internal use (thousand tons, eggs - mln pieces, leather raw materials – thousand pieces, mutton, cotton fiber, flax fiber and wool - tons); and (f) level of self-sufficiency (%).Expert assessment of the influence of the main factors that should be taken into consideration in determining trends in the development of agro-industrial production and which are important for all member states, is carried out in accordance with the list according to Annex 2.
