Decree-Law No. 13/09 approving the Statute of the Ministry for Agriculture (MINAGRI).

This Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry for Agriculture (MINAGRI). This Statute, consisting of 6 Chapters and 1 Annex, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned governmental institution, dealing with agricultural sector, in particular livestock and agri-forestry sub-sectors, and entitled to: design and propose National development strategies in sectors such as: agriculture, livestock, forestry and food security, promote and coordinate needed activities for their implementation; elaborate development programme proposals in these sectors to be implemented in the General Development Plan of the country; support economic activities related to production, processing, treatment, industrialization, transformation and commercialization of the above mentioned products.
