Decree No. 45-C/92 approving the Statute of the Institution for the Artisanal Fisheries Development.

This Decree approves the Statute of the Institution for the Artisanal Fisheries Development, as an entity aiming to promote the harmonious growth of artisanal fishing, integrating it into the country's economic development. The Statute establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Institution, entitled to carry out the following activities: prepare socio-economic projects aimed at the artisanal fishing development in the country's economic context and the rational management of fishing resources; promote social campaigns aimed at the creation and development of artisanal fishing communities; collaborate with local authorities in the integrated development of artisanal fishing communities; research and monitoring of this sector and collect data related to artisanal catches.
