Executive Decree No. 13/24 establishing the obligation to produce spirit drinks in glass containers.

This Executive Decree establishes the obligation to produce spirit drinks in glass containers. It also establishes the prohibition of the production, import and sale of spirit drinks sold in plastic packages. The Decree applies to economic agents that produce or sell drinks considered to be spirits, intended for human consumption, with an ethyl content equal to or greater than 15% of the volume, according to the internationally accepted classification, among others, but not limited to, whiskey, brandy, rum, gin, vodka, brandy, liqueur and tequila.
