Abstract
Under the Aquatic Biological Resources Law, the State is obliged to adopt necessary measures to prevent damage to biological resources and aquatic ecosystems caused by the use of fishing methods and gear that are inappropriate for the objectives of sustainable use of resources and responsible fishing. This Decree, composed of four articles, regulates the fishery practices allowed in Angola. The Decree provides a detailed classification on fishing methods and fishing nets as well as on the prohibited fishing practices.
