Executive Decree No. 41/23 approving the Internal Regulation of the Studies, Planning and Statistics Office.

This Executive Decree approves the Internal Regulation of the Studies, Planning and Statistics Office (GEPE) . The GEPE is the technical support service of a transversal nature, which is responsible for designing public policies in the fields of: agriculture, livestock, fisheries and forestry, proposing the Ministry's strategies in the various domains, preparing studies and regular analysis on the general execution of the services' activities, as well as guiding and coordinating statistical activity. in particular GEPE is responsible to: Draw up studies for development policy of the agriculture sector, policies on market, credits, incentives; evaluate public investment projects and coordinate financing and execution actions; promote the collection and dissemination of statistical information on agricultural, livestock, forestry, fauna and beekeeping activities, aquaculture and saliculture; propose strategies for the development of the Agricultural and Forestry sector; study the sector's investment opportunities and needs, etc.
