Law No. 14/20 amending the Basic Law on Civil Protection.

This Law amends the Civil Protection Basic Law. Amendments deal with prevention on the occurrence of collective risks, by adopting measures related to serious accidents, catastrophes or public disasters. Amended articles regard the concept of public disaster, the objectives and fields of action of civil protection, the measures that may be adopted by the Holder of Executive Power, the definition of the civil protection policy, the formulation and execution of the civil protection policy, the composition of the National Civil Protection Council and the National Civil Protection Committee, civil protection agents, civil protection operational centers, emergency and contingency plans, regulating crimes and institutional cooperation, creating new Civil Protection Committees at provincial and municipal level, etc.
