Presidential Decree No. 103/11 approving the Strategic Plan for Disaster Risk Management.

This Presidential Decree approves the Strategic Plan for Disaster Risk Management. This Strategic Plan, consisting of 4 Sections, establishing the risks and the steps to be taken while an natural or social emergency is ocurring over the National territory. This Strategic Plan aims at guaranteeing to the Government the sustainability of Disaster Risk Management Strategic Programme for 2010-2014. This Plan is directly related to the Millenium Development Goals and in particular, to the National Strategy to Figth Poverty. Section I deals with the General aspects of disasters in Angola, Section II deals with the Relation between the impact of disasters on the vulnerable people, Section III deals with Objectives and strategy, Section IV deals with the Areas of activity.
