Abstract
This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Public Water Company, EPAL-E.P. This Statute, consisting of 52 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the EPAL-E.P. with its headquarters in Luanda. The Company may establish and close agencies, delegations or other forms of representation in any part of the national territory or abroad, as well as decentralize its technical and administrative services, according to the needs of its activity. The Public Water Company's main objective is to carry out research, projects, operation and maintenance of water collection, treatment, captation and distribution systems, under a public service regime, under the terms of the concessions or licences granted by the competent authorities. In addition, the company may carry out other industrial or commercial activities, either directly or in association with third parties, by decision of its Board of Directors, provided that the objectives do not jeopardize its main object.
