Presidential Decree No. 15/14 approving Management Measures for Marine Fisheries, Continental Fishing and Aquaculture for 2014.

This Presidential Decree, consisting of 27 articles, approves Management Measures for Marine Fisheries, Continental Fishing and Aquaculture for 2014. It aims at regulating the capacity of captures to the available potential to biological aquatic resources and to aquaculture, through the monitoring and use of the Continued Equipment Monitoring (EMC) and GPS, prohibited seasons, allowed mesh for any fishing method, bycatch, biological samplings, obligation of giving statistical information, fishing quotas for 2014, total allowable catch, limit of fishing effort, regime of substitution of fishing vessels, reserved fishing areas, prohibitions, percentage of catch, minimum size, fulfilment of maritime safety norms, management of seals, artisanal continental fishing, aquaculture, fishing transhipment and fishing exercise without concession and fishing rights, establishing the respective sanctions regime.
