Presidential Decree No. 172/20 approving the Agreement on the Protocol of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Russian Federation in the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector.

This Presidential Decree approves the Agreement on the Protocol of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Russian Federation in the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector. This Agreement aims to establish and strengthen cooperation in the field of fisheries and aquaculture between the two Parties in accordance with the respective State legislation. The Parties are committed to developing cooperation in the following areas: 1. Management and rational exploitation of the marine living resources; 2. Preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing; 3. Exchange of information and documentation on the issues of the fishing industry that are of mutual interest; Training of staff for the fishing industry; 5. Technical and scientific research in the field of sea fishing and aquaculture; 6. Observation and control of fishing activities between the economic operators of each Party; 7. Promotion of cooperation between economic operators of the States of the Parties in the field of the fishing and aquaculture industry. This Agreement is valid for a period of 5 years, automatically renewable for equal periods.
