Abstract
This Presidential Decree approves the Policy on Diamond Marketing. This Policy, consisting of seven Sections, is based on a diamond trading system which makes the legitimate interests of producers compatible with the State's need for standardization, classification, control, certification and taxation of this activity, providing that, in compliance with the principle of effective sovereignty over mineral resources, all the marketing operations must continue to be carried out through a Single Channel, under the Public Marketing Body, whose function is exercised by SODIAM - EP in close collaboration with ENDIAMA - EP and the Kimberley Process Commission and other relevant entities in the Diamond Industry. It focuses in particular on the principles and objectives of the marketing policy for gross diamonds, the single channel for the marketing of rough diamonds, the diamond trading system, commercialization of polished diamonds, which is free in the Angolan market, as well as in ensuring compliance with the standards established by the Kimberley Process Certification System and in the fiscal, customs and exchange regime.
