Presidential Decree No. 49/23 approving the General Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

This Presidential Decree approves the General Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. The Contracting Parties shall endeavor to develop and strengthen economic and technical cooperation between the two countries, in accordance with their respective legislation in force. Cooperation between the Contracting Parties shall include, inter alia, the following areas: a) Trade in goods and services; b) Investments; c) Agriculture, including agricultural processing activities, livestock, fishing and acquisition or rental of agricultural land; d) Energy and renewable energies; e) Mines and industry; f) Infrastructure, construction and real estate; g) Tourism; h) Telecommunications; i) Transport. The Contracting Parties may decide to cooperate in other areas that appear to be more advantageous, taking into account the economic policy priorities of the States of the Parties. With a view to implementing economic and technical cooperation, under the terms of this Agreement, the Contracting Parties shall encourage relevant specialized entities and business communities to explore possibilities for project execution in various areas of economic and technical cooperation.
