Abstract
This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the National Commission of the Republic of Angola for UNESCO (CNU-Angola). The Statute, consisting of 23 articles divided into five Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Commission, entitled to act as coordinator for the Government of the Republic of Angola in the consultation on all matters concerning the UNESCO mandate. In particular, the CNU-Angola performs the following functions: a) Study and submit to the Government issues concerning the political orientation and programs of activities related to UNESCO; b) Coordinate and harmonize the activities of educational, cultural and scientific institutions linked to UNESCO; e) Establish links with the UNESCO Secretariat, Regional Bureau and similar National Commissions; d) Coordinate the participation of delegations representing the Republic of Angola in UNESCO sub-regional, regional, international and world conferences and meetings; e) Ensure compliance with the duties of the Republic of Angola, as a Member State, etc.
