Abstract
This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the General Labour Inspectorate (IGT) and repeals the Center for Safety and Health at Work (CSST). The IGT is a public establishment, aimed to ensure the application and observance of labour legislation, inform, guide, regulate and monitor the actions of the subjects of the legal-labour relations. In carrying out its supervisory and inspection activities, the IGT is endowed with technical and functional autonomy and its staff exercises public authority powers. The IGT has the following attributions: Exercise control over the application of legal provisions relating to the establishment, modification and termination of the employment contract; Ensure effective compliance with legal provisions relating to the maintenance of the legal-employment relationship; c) Supervise the application of the provisions relating to the manner, time, place and remuneration of the work performed; d) Ensure the application and compliance with the mandatory social protection regime; e) Ensure compliance with legal standards that prohibit all forms of discrimination in employment, etc.

This Presidential Decree repeals Presidential Decree No. 79/15 of 13 April, approving the Statute of the General Labour Inspectorate and Executive Decree No. 50/10 of 28 May approving the Statute of the Centre for Safety and Health at Work.
