Presidential Decree No. 93/24 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Planning.

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Planning. This Statute, consisting of 21 articles divided into four Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution. The Ministry of Planning is the Ministerial Department responsible for territorial planning and development, in accordance with the National Planning System, as well as macroeconomic policy, public investment, public-private partnerships and international development cooperation.
The Ministry of Planning has duties in the field of planning and territorial development - public investment policy and programming, such as: a) Coordinate the process of drawing up various planning instruments and public investments that promote a balanced development of the national territory; b) Coordinate the formulation and implementation of public policies that promote inclusive development; c) Coordinate the process of monitoring, following up and evaluating the instruments of the National Planning System; d) Ensuring the innovation of the process of drafting, monitoring, following up and evaluating the instruments of the National Planning System; e) Producing studies that make it possible to make the actions included in the General State Budget compatible with the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework; f) Preparing the main options for planning the national territory; g) Drawing up strategic studies with the aim of promoting the balanced and inclusive development of the national territory; h) Ensuring the harmonious distribution of productive activities, respect for the environment and the country's historical and cultural heritage, etc.
