Resolution No. 30/25 ratifying the International Coffee Agreement 2022 of the International Coffee Organization, signed on 9 June 2022.

The objective of this Agreement is to strengthen the Global Coffee Sector, promoting its economic, social, and environmentally sustainable expansion within a market context, for the benefit of all sector participants. To this end, it will: Promote international cooperation on coffee matters, with a view to developing all areas of coffee production and reducing social, economic, and technological differences between countries, taking into account the needs and priorities of Members; Facilitate engagement on coffee issues, at the national, regional, and global levels, among Members and stakeholders in the coffee value chain; Encourage Members to develop a sustainable coffee sector in economic, social, and environmental terms; Provide a forum for consultations, seeking to understand the structural conditions of international markets and long-term trends in production and consumption that balance supply and demand, as well as adequately regulate the spot, physical, and financial coffee markets to address volatility and excessive speculation, which can distort prices, with negative effects for both producers and consumers, etc.
