Resolution No. 33/24 approving for ratification, the Charter creating the Regional Cooperation Centre for Fisheries Monitoring, Control and Surveillance.

This Resolution approves for ratification, the Charter creating the Regional Cooperation Centre for Monitoring, Control and Surveillance of Fisheries sector. The purpose of this Charter is to provide the framework for the establishment and operationalization of an institution that will coordinate monitoring, control and surveillance (MCS) measures on fisheries sector in the SADC Region. This Charter will govern co-operation between Member States in the field of sustainable fisheries management, particularly in the activities of fisheries surveillance, control and monitoring (MCS) in the marine and inland waters of the SADC Region.
