Resolution No. 9/06 approving for accession, the Agreement establishing the Intergovernmental Information and Cooperation Organization for the Marketing of Fishery Products in Africa "INFOPÊCHE".

Under the terms of this Agreement, INFOPÊCHE's mission is to provide information on the fishery product markets; give opinions on technical innovations, specifications applicable to products, processing methods and quality standards corresponding to market requirements; help research new products and promote less consumed species; train in marketing techniques staff of the administrations, institutions of the fishing industries. To accomplish this mission, it sets the following objectives: contribute to the development and modernization of the fisheries sector of the contracting parties; to promote a better balance in the availability of fishery products from the contracting parties; make the most of export opportunities within and outside Africa; to promote technical and economic cooperation between the contracting parties.
