Abstract
This Action Plan is drafted based on the EU regulations for the purpose of prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species in the EU. The Action Plan provides the priority pathways and a description of the measures to be taken to prevent the unintentional introduction and spread of invasive alien species (the Union list) into or within the Union. The text defines 12 priority paths that are defined by the EU Regulations for the member states, including: Pets, Aquariums and Terrariums (1); Botanical Garden (2); Animal Garden (3); Ornamental Species (4); Vehicles (in 3 categories including trains and ships); Contamination of soil (8); Contamination of devices (9); Contamination of seeds and feed (10); Fishing (11) and Waterways (12). For each pathway a description of measures, goals, cost-benefit analysis is provided for the stakeholders and the agents that are responsible for the enforcement of the measures. The text contains 4 Sections and has 1 Annex as follow: Introduction (1); Path Action Sheets (2); The Priority Paths (3) and Cross-Path Measures (4).
