Agreement according to article 15a BVG between the Federal Government and the Land Styria on the establishment and operation of the National Park "Gesäuse".

An agreement between the Federal State and the Land of Styria - led by the desire to conserve an ecologically precious landscape of not only national but also internationl importance – on the establishment of a National Park Company in the area of Styria as set out in Annex 1. Aims of the said agreement are: the international recognition by the World Conservation Union; the conservation of this precious nationally and internationally significant landscape; the conservation of its fauna and flora, as well as of its unique representative landscape; and last not least it should be an area for education and relax. Article 4 fixes in detail the legal form of the administrative company. In the following articles its tasks, such as management and maintenance of the said National Park, as well as its financial aspects, settlement of disputes, entry into force and duration of the agreement are established. The agreement consists of 14 articles and 1 Annex.
