Animal Earmarking Ordinance 1995.

Thirty days after birth at the latest, certain animals such as cattle, pigs, sheep and goats, are to be earmarked by their owner. If an animal loses the earmark or it becomes illegible, the owner must repeat the operation. Article 2 contains detailed requirements as to the nature of earmarks. For example, it is to be used only once, must be clearly readable, etc. Without an earmark animals cannot be brought to slaughterhouses. Part 2 deals with registers and other required books and documents for animal breeding. Upon request farmers must provide all required information to the competent local authorities. The Ordinance consists of 9 articles divided into 3 Parts.
