Abstract
The present Ordinance introduces the Commission Decision 2003/721/EC amending Council Directive 92/118/EEC as regards requirements for collagen intended for human consumption and repealing Decision 2003/42/EC into Austrian national legislation. It lays down regulations concerning above all the production of collagen intended for human consumption. The said Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause relating to “collagen”, and “collagen for human consumption”. Moreover the definitions contained in article 2 of the Gelatine Ordinance (BGBl. II No. 272/2000) are applicable also to the present Ordinance. Article 3 contains dispositions concerning hygiene conditions for collagen production plants. The text consists of 5 articles and 2 Annexes.
