This Law aims to address the assessment of environmental noise and the planning of noise reduction measures by defining terms, evaluation methods, and noise indices, as well as identifying major transport routes, airports, and industrial areas as relevant noise sources. Its primary objective is to prevent harmful effects of environmental noise on human health and to reduce unacceptable disturbances. The document emphasizes the importance of strategic noise mapping and the development of action plans to mitigate noise pollution. It mandates the creation of strategic noise maps and action plans, includes provisions for environmental assessments and cross-border consultations, and establishes requirements for public information and reporting to the EU Commission. Additionally, it contains regulations on implementation, references to other federal laws, and authorization for further regulatory measures.
