Freight Transport Master Plan 2030.

This Policy is a new climate protection framework for the transport sector and provides the strategies for the superstructures for transport policy in the coming years in Austria. This Policy concerns the climate-neutral freight transport requirements and provides an outlook on measures to achieve climate neutrality by 2040. The Policy is designed based on three principles of avoiding the freight traffic by considering the economic concerns, shifting the freight traffic to rail as a mode of transport with high level of energy efficiency, and improving the road trade transport. The text contains 9 Sections and refers to traffic avoidance; shift to rail freight; inland shipping; improvement and zero-emission drives in road freight transport; improvement of air freight; and international and national cooperation.
