Abstract
This Ordinance implements article 62 of the Genetic Manipulation Act (BGBl. No. 510/1994). This Ordinance establishes mandatory labelling requirements for products consisting of or containing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that are legally allowed on the market under the Austrian Genetic Engineering Act. It defines its scope and excludes several categories from its application, including GMO food and feed regulated under EU law, GMO seeds, human and veterinary medicinal products.
