Abstract
These Regulations lay down implementing measures for common organization of the market in milk and milk products provided for in the Council Regulations 1255/1999 of 26 June 1999. “Agrarmarkt Austria” (AMA) shall be responsible for the execution of this Ordinance. The Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause of certain terms used therein such as “milk”, “raw milk”, “full fat milk”, “cheese”, “butter”, “dairy product”, “milk powder”, “milk producing plants”, etc. Article 4 establishes that milk producers and milk producing plants have to report to the said "AMA" the amount of milk handled and processed to milk powder, butter, cheese. They have also to indicate the number of employees, and other details. Article 5 fixes the certain intervals of these reports and the forms they have to use. Article 9 specifies that entitled persons must allow access to their premises for inspection by competent authorities, i.e., the “Agrarmarkt Austria”, the Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry, and various bodies of the European Community. The text consists of 10 articles.
