Abstract
The law outlines the legal framework for the professional practice of mountain guides, canyoning guides, sport climbing instructors, and hiking guides. The law defines their qualifications, certification processes, rights, duties, training and examinations, insurance requirements, and professional conduct. It also regulates mountain schools, including licensing, staff qualifications, and curriculum. The law includes provisions for cross-border and EU recognition of qualifications and sets rules for temporary activity in Vorarlberg by foreign professionals. Additionally, it establishes the Vorarlberger Bergführerverband (Mountain Guide Association), detailing its role in oversight, member regulation, training, and cooperation. The text consists of 50 Articles divided into 7 Parts.
