Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to the establishment and management of the National Park “Gesäuse”. The objective of the establishment and operation of the National Park is to create a protected area, in which the flow of natural developments shall be safeguarded in the long run so that the : 1) natural parts with its characteristic flora and fauna shall be conserved; 2) astrologically influenced areas shall be able to develop to countryside and where necessary, be promoted in this development; 3) natural cultural landscape shall be conserved through modern management and shall remain thus for future generations; 4) environmental and socio-economic factors shall be explored in this area to protect nature and the well-being of man; 5) area can be explored both for recreational and educational, as well as for scientific purposes. The text consists of 16 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Establishment (1); Provisions on protection (2); Operation (3); Transitional and final provisions (4).
