Abstract
The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources introduces some substantial amendments to the above-mentioned Ordinance. Inter alia, article 5, paragraph 6, is reworded establishing that feedstuff labelled as “coming from organic production” may only be brought into circulation if it complies with the provisions contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 223/2003 on labelling requirements related to the organic production method for feedingstuffs, compound feedingstuffs and feed materials and amending Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91. Moreover article 20 is reworded establishing that feedstuffs, compound feedstuffs, and feed materials may only be brought into circuclation if they do not exceed the maximum values contained in the Directive 2002/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on undesirable substances in animal feed. In particular, Annex I to this Directive contains the list of undesirable substances in animal feed and related maximum levels
