Abstract
The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources implements article 4 of the Emission Protection Act (BGBl. I No. 34/2003). It lays down regulations dealing with the monitoring of emission into air of harmful substances. The Federal Minister has to ensure that specified methods are used for assessing air quality in relation to each pollutant in each zone. The text consists of 39 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: Control of limit values to protect human health (1); Control of limit values of dust particles to protect human health (2); Assessment of limit values on import and export of harmful substances (3); General considerations (4); Control of limit values to protect ecosystems and vegetation (5); Assessment of PM2,5 (6); Assessment of greenhouse gas (7); Data exchange and reporting (8); Inspection of assessment methods (9). Three Annexes are enclosed.
