Abstract
An Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs to ensure the protection of animals against torture. In particular, it applies to those who keep animals professionally. They have to ensure that premises where animals are kept meet special requirements, such as minimum space available, temperature, feeding, etc. Moreover, in every such establishment there has to be a person trained in animal keeping. The Ordinance consists of 5 articles and 2 Annexes.
