Abstract
The Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause relating to the various terms therein employed. Part 1 establishes the sphere of application and the supervising body. Keepers of battery farms must ensure that water and feedstuffs used is free from salmonella and that no insects, birds, etc. have access to the premises. Part 6 prescribes the detailed hygienic requirements for slaughtering. The Ordinance consists of 26 articles divided into 7 Parts.
